Celine Dion, Oh how I love thee!

Yesterday was date night for my Ry Bear and me. It wasn't really planned, but it was fun anyways! We had put Abby to bed, Mark was watching a show on his laptop, and I was thumbing through the shows on TV when suddenly I saw Celine Dion 'A New Day Has Come' concert on KBYU. Immediately I tuned in. Oh how I love her!! Ry came over and he watched about 10 minutes cuddled up on the couch with me. It was heavenly. To say the least my date night with Ry was a blast, after cuddling on the couch he got a ball and we played catch for the next hour, until her concert ended.

Yes, I'm a huge fan! I've seen her twice in my life. Once when I went to Denver CO to see her, I was still in high school and the other time was for our honeymoon in Las Vegas. That was an awesome show! She had a concert scheduled this past year for SLC, I had tickets on the 9Th row, but she had to change the day b/c of a sickness. OF COARSE, my luck would have it that she rescheduled for a Sunday! To say the least I bawled my eyes out for days! That was a hard decision for me to make.......Celine Dion.....Keep the Sabbath Day holy ........ Celine Dion...... Well the Lord beat out and I sold the tickets back to Celine. I'm not perfect, but I try to do my best. My heart still misses her. She is currently pregnant with twins and is scheduled for a second round of shows in Vegas in a few years. Yes, I will be going...... as long as Mark will take me. If he wont, anyone else want to come with me?

This past week has been exhausting. Abby hasn't been sleeping well at all, things are getting worse. During the night she wakes up on an average, every 2 hours. Many times it's every hour. There is no way to calm her little soul until I feed her. I called the GI doc again and asked where we were on the waiting list. Needless to say after 5 minutes of discussion with the receptionist I still have NO idea where Abby is at on the waiting list, she wouldn't tell me. She just said she would talk to the doc about her and put another star by her name. I hope she wasn't just saying all this to appease me. Sometimes....OK, a lot, I feel like that pushy mother who tries to get everything 'now' for her children, and I hate that I feel this way, but I also feel like I have to be pushy or my children won't get the care they need to get.

I have also learned in life to never tell yourself you will never act like that/ or that your children will never act like that in public. Let me explain, I went to Walgreens earlier this week and took the kids with me, as they are attached to my hip. I quickly picked up the one item I needed and headed for the checkout line. Ry saw balls and went running for them, he could have cared less where I was and that I was about to leave the store. After checking out, I went back to get him. He happily told me he was playing with 'his' toys. I politely told him it was time to go and we weren't buying a toy today. That is when the throw down started. He ran to go look at other toys, he wasn't leaving the store on his own terms, so he was going to have to do it on mine! With Abby in the car seat in one hand I picked up Ry with the other. He started kicking and screaming like I was stealing him. This fit led me to have to hold him football style around the waist. I walked, red faced from embarrassment, from the back of the store to the front with stares like you wouldn't believe. One lady actually stopped in her tracks and just stared at us and the scene we were making. I'm sure we were quite the site to see! To say the least Ry ended up sitting in his car seat for the next 10 minutes while Abby and I sat on the curb outside the car enjoying the nice day.

On a happy note, Ry is usually a very happy-go-lucky kind of a kid. Today our tenants (a couple of single girls) invited us into their part of the home to show us how they remodeled their living room, it looked awesome too! They love Ry, and he loves them. Today they gave him candy, bubbles, and a shinny new toy vacuum. He has ALWAYS wanted a vacuum for himself, and today he got it...... it's just too bad it is pink and purple. Not important to him thought, he still loves his vacuum and had to vacuum the whole house before naps.
